Short Planks
You will need short planks
for building structures like tents. You can craft short planks using an old saw 
and a wood pile 
.
Right-click the saw icon and select 'Short Planks' to craft them.
Long Planks
You will need long planks
for building various structures. You can craft them by finding a pile of logs that look like this:
You will also need to have an old saw in your tool belt. Right-click the saw icon and select 'Long Planks' to craft them.
Scrap Connectors
You will need scrap connectors
for base building. You can craft them using 5 empty tin cans
. You will also need an Old Hammer 
in your tool belt. Right-click the old hammer and select 'Scrap Connector' to craft a scrap connector
.
Metal Supports
You will need metal supports
for base building, you can craft them using 2 Reinforcement Materials
and you will also need old pliers in your tool belt. The right-click the old pliers 
icon and select 'Metal Supports' to craft them after which metal supports
will appear in your inventory.
Cinderblocks
You will need cinderblocks
for base building. To craft them you will need 2 reinforced wood
and 2 Lime Stones
. The right-click the reinforced wood and select 'Make Cinderblock'. Lime stones and reinforced wood are produced by level 2 houses, click here to find out more.
