About body temperature

Your body temperature is vital to your survival. The normal body temperature of a human being is 37°C (98.6°F). It it vital to maintain your body temperature at this number otherwise you risk of falling ill with the common cold which can eventually lead to your death if left untreated. Keeping track of your body temperature

Your body temperature is displayed in game at all times by the thermometer icon in the bottom right corner of the screen. When the thermometer is red, that means your body temperature is at a good level. When the thermometer is blue that means your body temperature is low and you need to raise it quickly to avoid contracting the common cold and eventually dying. The thermometer will gradually decrease and increase based on if you are getting hot or cold.

What causes body temperature to fall?

  • Your body temperature will fall if you stay put in one place for long periods of time without moving.
  • Swimming in ponds and the sea for long periods of time will cause your body temperature to fall quickly.
  • Being present near the sea or in high altitude areas such as the mountains will cause your body temperature to fall quickly.
  • Your body temperature will fall quickly at night if you do not move around.

How to raise body temperature?

There are a few simple techniques that you can use to keep your body temperature normal and increase your chances of survival.

  • Keep moving. Running and generally moving around will keep your body temperature normal under normal conditions.
  • Dress warm by finding winter clothes at night or when by the sea or in the mountains. (Note: Winter clothes do not help when swimming).
  • If your body temperature does fall use heat packs
