Finding a source of fresh water is essential to your long terms survival. One of the best ways to get a hold of fresh water is to find a well in one of the many towns and villages scattered around the islands and pump it out. The empty water bottle in your inventory will become full [[File:Equip waterbottle ca.png|50px]].

To do this you will need to have an empty water bottle [[File:Equip waterbottle empty ca.png|50px]] in your inventory. Then approach a water pump and select ...from the action menu.

It is highly recommended that you always boil your water before drinking it as even ground water my be contaminated with bacteria that can cause you to become ill and die. Click here to learn how to boil water. Click here to learn about illnesses and poisoning in the game.
